Graduation

We survived graduation at school this week. Brian had the most stress, as he was the English MC, front and center (well, stage left). Here he is running through his lines before the show, looking at all those ominous empty seats that would soon be filled with parents/grandparents. He did fine and wasn't even nervous when it came time to start.

My job was welcoming the special guests and pinning hideous corsages on them. I also had to walk on stage 15 times to lead the certificate/award winners off the stage after their photos. Thankfully not a big deal ... except for the two year old group who scattered and wandered all over the stage rather than walk in line. As my job involved front-of-house and backstage duties, I had to run outside to get backstage. Knowing this secret passageway allowed me to sneak out to take some photos of Brian doing his job.

This was the cutest and funniest bit that he had to do. He was introducing the ballet students with one of their props and one of his favorite students came out after and said "Hey that's mine! Give it back!"

There were probably about 900 guests, over 100 graduating students and about 50 school staff in attendance.
